Google announced an additional $1.5 billion investment in Claude’s parent company, @AnthropicAI a total investment of $2 billion.
Google has previously invested $500 million in Anthropic. This investment has further exacerbated the competitive situation in the AI field.
Previously, Amazon also pledged $4 billion in the company.
Anthropic was founded in 2021 by former OpenAI engineers, and its chatbot Claude is considered ChatGPT’s biggest rival.
