There are two versions of Amazon Q Developer and Amazon Q Business.
It can automatically complete various tasks of software development and business data analysis, thereby improving work efficiency.
Amazon Q not only generates highly accurate code, it can also test, debug, and has multi-step planning and reasoning capabilities to transform and implement new code generated based on developer requests. Amazon Q also logically summarizes data and analyzes trends by connecting to an enterprise data repository, making it easier for employees to get answers to questions about cross-business data, such as company policies, product information, business results, code libraries, employees and many other topics, and engage in conversations about data.

Amazon Q Developer
This release is designed to help developers reduce the time spent on maintenance tasks, allowing them to focus more on coding.
It can assist in coding, testing, upgrading applications, troubleshooting, performing security scans and repairs, and optimizing AWS resources. The goal is to allow developers to devote more time to creating unique user experiences and speed project deployment.
Today, developers estimate that they spend only 30%(or less) of their time coding, with the rest of the time performing cumbersome and repetitive tasks. Developers must also manage infrastructure and resources, troubleshoot and resolve errors, and understand operating costs. When they switch projects, they must take the time to study existing code bases to understand their programming logic. Finally, there is all the work of testing and refactoring code, upgrading applications, debugging and optimizing, and ensuring security by scanning for vulnerabilities in a timely manner and applying appropriate security fixes. Companies want to allow their developers to spend less time on this coding and more time creating unique experiences for end users, while being able to deploy faster.
Amazon Q Business
Amazon Q Business is committed to giving employees easy access to company data to make data-driven decisions.
It can answer questions, provide summaries, generate content, and complete tasks in a safe manner. This version integrates with Amazon QuickSight and provides a generative business intelligence assistant that simplifies the creation of BI dashboards and visualizations through natural language commands.
Organizations have large amounts of data distributed across multiple documents, systems, and applications. Employees in every organization and department spend hours a week searching internal information sources, piecing together analysis, writing reports, building presentations, gathering insights from dashboards, and adapting content to different audiences.
Amazon Q Business is an AI-based generation assistant that answers questions, provides summaries, generates content, and securely completes tasks based on data and information in enterprise systems. It makes employees more creative, data-driven, efficient, prepared and productive.
Amazon Q Apps
Amazon Q Apps is a new feature that allows employees to use natural language to build applications driven by generative AI without requiring coding skills.
This feature is part of Amazon Q Business and helps employees efficiently automate daily tasks.
Amazon Q Apps is a new feature of Amazon Q Business that allows employees to build AI-driven generation applications based on company data without any coding experience. Employees only need to describe the type of application they want in natural language, and Q Apps will quickly generate applications that complete the tasks they need, helping them easily and efficiently simplify and automate their daily work.
