“GeekGeekRun” is an open source job search automation tool specially designed for the Boss direct hiring platform. It aims to simplify the job search process and improve efficiency.
It aims to reduce repetitive operations during the job search process and supports the access to multiple large language models (such as OpenAI, Alibaba Cloud, etc.) to generate chat content and enhance automated intelligence.

Project introduction

GeekGeekRun leverages Puppeteer and Electron technology to automate the following tasks:

  • Automatic chat: Automatically start chatting with a matching Boss based on your set job search preferences.
  • Quick Haitou: Deliver resumes in batches to save manual operation time.
  • Reminder that has been read and cannot be returned: Reminds users of which bosses have read messages but have not responded to them.
  • Job information capture: Automatically collect job details for easy analysis and screening.
  • Unsuitable job marking: Mark unqualified positions to avoid repeated reviews.
  • Zombie job cleanup: Clear position information that has not been updated for a long time or is invalid.

The tool is completely open source, free, user-friendly, and supports Windows, macOS and Linux platforms.

🚀Installation and use

  1. access GitHub Releases page, download the latest installation package for your operating system.
  2. Follow the installation guide for the corresponding system:
    • Windows: Download .exe File, double-click to install.
    • macOS: Download .dmg File, drag the application into the “Applications” folder after mounting, and execute the following commands for the first time to bypass security restrictions:sudo spctl --master-disable xattr -cr /Applications/GeekGeekRun.app
    • Linux: Download .deb files, using dpkg Install it.
  3. After the installation is complete, start the application and complete the initial configuration according to the boot.
