Deep features are the cornerstone of computer vision research, capturing image semantics and enabling communities to solve downstream tasks even with zero or few samples.
However, these functions often lack spatial resolution to directly perform intensive prediction tasks such as segmentation and depth prediction, because models actively pool information over large areas.
In this work, Feature Up, a task-and model-independent framework for recovering lost space, was introduced

A feature that directs resolution signals in a single forward pass,
Another fits the implicit model to a single image to reconstruct features at any resolution.
Both methods use multi-view and NeRF’s loss of consistency in depth analogy. Our features retain their original semantics and can be swapped into existing applications, achieving resolution and performance improvements even without having to retrain.
It has been proved to be significantly superior to other functional class activation map generation in upsampling and image super-resolution methods, transfer learning for segmentation and depth prediction, and end-to-end training for semantic segmentation.
